The Toy Monster

So, I heard about a little thing called the toy monster. He loves to eat toys, and only toys. If there is a toy on the ground when we all go sleep, he will gobble it up and it will not be there in the morning. So, I decided to try this with Taeler. With my mom's help, she told Taeler a very sad (fake) story about how her cousin Bella got some of her toys eaten by the toy monster. Taeler was very interested in the story. She kept asking"Is Bella so sad?", and "which toys did the toy monster eat?". So, for the past couple days, Taeler has been sooo good about cleaning up her toys. The only annoying thing is when I have her in bed and she remembers a toy somewhere on the ground in the house, she jumps out of bed to go rescue the toy from getting eaten. i have yet to take a toy away that was not put away, but we'll see how long this lasts! I'm sure when the monster eats his first toy, she will surely remember. Hopefully the next time she sees Bella, she won't figure out we made up the story about her!
